Our philosophy

We make clothing for people who do not need to be noticed — and always are.

John Hashempour Designs — fabric that conforms to the body that wears it

Cloth as conviction

Every piece begins with the fabric. We source linen, silk organza, and cashmere from mills that carry their own histories — and we hold them to ours.

Our process is slow because the work demands it. A single piece may take weeks from first drape to final stitch. We do not rush what the cloth is telling us.

The result is clothing that does not announce itself. It simply arrives — and stays.

“The garment is not finished when the last stitch is sewn. It is finished when it finds the body that was waiting for it.”

Each piece is made once, for one person. We do not restock. We do not repeat. The archive is the only record.
